DNV is seeking a highly motivated Engineer - Wind Energy Analyst with expertise in data analysis to join our team in Sweden. The position is preferably a full-time position that reports to the Head of Section, Project Development & Analytics (PDA) Northern Europe and based in our DNV Stockholm office. The Project Development & Analytics (PDA) Northern Europe section works on wind energy projects in Northern Europe including Benelux, Germany and Eastern Europe with staff currently in Sweden, Germany and Poland, closely working together with colleagues from the UK.

This is broad role that requires the successful applicant to be involved in various activities.
These include:
Undertake energy production assessments of wind farms, both pre- and post- construction, onshore and offshore; which include - analysing wind and other climatic data, inspecting sites and measurement equipment, wind farm layout design, performing wind flow modelling, assessing site conditions for turbine suitability, predicting wind farm energy production, conducting statistical uncertainty analyses, writing technical reports and communicating results to clients across Northern Europe with focus on Sweden / Scandinavia.
Manage projects to ensure they are completed within timescale and budget.
Prepare and coordinate proposals and bids within Northern Europe Markets.
Cooperate with other regions
Position Qualifications
Previous experience in the wind sector, at least two years, preferable in consultancy or engineering companies. However, also graduates with knowledge of wind energy will be given a chance.
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, power engineering, physics, mathematics or any other relevant engineering or science degree.
Ability to work independently and within multicultural project teams.
Proficient working with office software like MS Office Word/Excel. Strong overall computer skills and ability to learn multiple software tools required.
Experience in the statistical data analysis.
An interest in and aptitude for programming, experience in Python, SQL and C# or C++ would be an advantage.
Fluency in English (written and verbal) and at least one Scandinavian language. Any other language of the region will be benefical.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally to wind farm sites.
