About the role


Connectivity is a global department within GTT Vehicle Engineering, established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for connected services and in-vehicle entertainment functions, within the Volvo Group. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. The telematics and entertainment components build a global platform utilized by the brands within the Volvo Group. Due to our expansive phase, we are now looking for a Wireless Communication engineer with excellent technical expertise who want to join our collaborative and passionate team. Requirements:
University level computer science /electrical engineering or equivalent education
2-5 years documented experience in electronics design and/ or passive and active component requirements
Well spoken and written English
Required technical competence areas & tools and methods with knowledge and experience in
RF & Antennas development methodology from feasibility/concept & req. work to product validation, both from component perspective but also system performance in terms of antenna location on vehicle, and Rx / Tx chain optimization in terms of link budget, throughput, sensitivity, linearity, etc.
Antenna measurements and Electronics (RF) test-and verification: both manual and automatic including Measurement equipment programming, scripting and data analysis and presentation
Electromagnetic simulations Momentum/Agilent ADS, Ansoft HFSS, CST, Microwave Office, FEKO, etc.
Spice simulators such as PSpice and OrCad and Finite element simulators such as Comsol Multiphysics
All types of instruments used for radio tests / microwave instruments used for microwave design and test work, such as Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), Spectrum Analyzer (SA), etc.
