Wireless System Engineer

Summary
Join our wireless team and drive innovation that matters! We’re looking for engineers with good fundamentals in RF, communication, signal processing and scientific software to join the growing Product RF definition team at Apple.
This small team of world-class engineers helps define the best-in-class wireless performance for Apple products. All members of the team bring their own unique expertise to collectively take wireless technologies to product implementation stages following the principles and practices of excellence that characterize Apple culture.
Key qualifications
Excellent understanding of RF fundamentals and communication theory
Experience handling, visualizing and analyzing antenna radiation patterns
Ability to write efficient, scalable Matlab, Python, C or C++ code
Basic electronics background: PLLs, RF Amplifiers, Impedance matching, SPI controls
Basic understanding of DSP concepts
Familiar with RF calibrations and RF metrics
Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment including: spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector signal generators, power sensors, etc.
Basic understanding of wireless standards like 5G, UWB, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth
Strong energy and drive to thrive in a start-up like environment
Traveling of 25% may be required

We see the more you have to the following as a BONUS:
5+ years of industry experience or equivalent
Recent experience with current and upcoming wireless RF standards (e.g. 5G, UWB,mmWave, WiFi 802.11ax, 802.11ay, Bluetooth 5.0)
Recent experience in OTA characterization
Recent experience in UWB technology
Recent experience in 5G technology
Proven track record modeling wireless channels in wireless technologies like 5G, UWB
Proven track record running comprehensive simulations of wireless communication systems
Experience in Antenna design
Experience in RF front-end design
Experience developing AoA systems

Your BSEE is needed, and we highly value MSEE.
