Ready to shape tomorrow’s society together with us?
Are you a curious engineer with product development experience and background within harness design? Your work and contribution will be the foundation that changes the transport industry to something safer, more productive and with less environmental impact!
This is us, your new colleagues
Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S) is a new entity within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer transport and material handling solutions never seen before. Together we will work on autonomous solutions that will defy conventions and take us to the future. With entirely new business models and advanced technology, we will meet and exceed expectations from customers and contribute to a society that we want to live in. We have office locations in Sweden and in the US.
We are now building a new team, Electrical & Electronic integration design. Where we are accountable for integrating the autonomous driving system hardware and supporting software in a base truck or machine. We´re a small team living the Electrical Engineering dream. Our field of responsibility spans from design for rapid prototyping to serial production. From wire harness to electrical power management as well as system design for our off-board safety system and on-board communication technologies. Concept Vehicle Lab is just around the corner and in a company culture where our possibility to impact the final design solution and the way of working is central.
This is how you could make an impact
We believe that the ultimate integration design is driven by passion and conscious decisions. As a Wiring harness engineer in our team, you as individual as well as a part of a team, will take on the diverse challenge to develop an electrical integration design, where you will have the possibilities to utilize your full potential in an area where robustness and high integrity is a key.
Our path to get there is not always crystal clear, but together we find our way by building understanding of product needs, system modelling, by discussions, tests, measurements, and utilization of our collected experience and known best practice.
Who are you?
As you will be working with new technologies, we believe you have a broad experience from different electrical engineering and harness design fields and at least 5 years of work experience, preferably from automotive. We also believe you have experience from development in Saber and preferably also harness routing in Catia or Creo. Experience from working within a safety standard development process, such as ISO 26262 or ISO 13849, is also something we will consider as a benefit.
You have a Good ability to adapt to changes and understand how external factors can impact the integration design.
It is also important that you enjoy working with new technologies and take part in continuously improving our ways of working, as we are building something from scratch and touching new ground with what we do. You will have the opportunity to work with different cultures cross functionally, with internal as well as external stakeholders and therefore we see that you have good interpersonal and communication skills.
We are actively working to establish teams that will take advantage of the strength inherent to differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality, among others. We find that well balanced work teams increase group dynamics, creativity, and new approaches to solutions.
Are we the perfect match?
If you agree that this seems like the place to be as an Wiring harness engineer and feel that you´re the one we´re looking for to join our Team please send your application at once.
We´re waiting to hear from you!
