Wood Supply and Forestry Analyst

At IKEA of Sweden we develop and make the IKEA range available to stores and customers all over the world. Within the responsibilities of IKEA of Sweden lies the development, sourcing, supply and steering of a unique, competitive and efficient range.

We are now looking for Wood Supply and Forestry Analyst to strengthen our Wood Supply and Forestry team. The team?s main task is to secure costs efficiency throughout the supply chain and that IKEA?s requirements on wood are fulfilled. You will report to the Global Wood Supply and Forestry Manager and work with the team at IKEA of Sweden as well as the regional teams in our main purchase markets.


Some of the tasks will include:

- To analyze value chains and identify gaps and opportunities for improvements and to propose relevant actions;
- To analyze cost-efficiency in total supply chain and in specific value chains such as forest, sawmill, drying or component production;
- To benchmark wood processing cost breakdowns;
- To analyze, compile and communicate Market Intelligence on our main materials;
- To analyze the need & supply balances on different assortments and markets.

Is this your next challenge?

We believe that you have a university degree and a few years of experience from a similar assignment. You are highly motivated with strong analytical skills. You have strong communication skills.

Since IKEA of Sweden is a truly international environment, you need to be fluent in English, both spoken and written. The role requires some global travelling.
