We are now looking for a Wood Supply & Forestry Project Manager to join our Wood Supply and Forestry team in Älmhult, Sweden.

Job Description
The role of a WS&F Project Manager consists of
• In close collaboration with our public affairs team, analyse and work with regulators and legislators making sure that legislation covering forestry and timber trade is both efficient and easy for companies to comply with.
• Leading Market Intelligence agenda for wood, within IKEA Range & Supply, including quarterly reports as well as specific Market intelligence projects.
• Lead the competence development in Market Intelligence collection and analysis.
• Lead or support various projects connected to Wood Supply & Forestry. Typical areas, Value-chain efficiency, Climate, Sustainable Forest Management, Strategic sourcing.
As a Wood Supply & Forestry Project Manager you will manage several complex projects in a truly global environment with project teams, functional team members, and business stakeholders all over the World.
You secure delivering excellent performance in every project (always full delivery and on time or faster) by managing time, cost, scope, risks, stakeholders, scenario planning, communication and changes, and you secure fact-based objective leadership throughout the project life cycle. You coach and support the project members and stakeholders from different units, businesses and cultures to form high performing project teams and manage dependencies.
You adapt your leadership and communication approach when needed to always maximize value creation for IKEA. At any time you act as an ambassador of IKEA values and a role model for fact-based business leadership.
Qualifications
We believe that you are a person with lots of positive energy, entrepreneurial drive, passion for Forestry and Wood Industry, business and people in combination. You enjoy working in an environment where you are managing multiple stakeholders. Your mind-set is always looking for better ways and you are committed to high standards in everything you do.
You have excellent communication and people skills combined with tact and diplomacy.
You like identifying business opportunities and to create, develop and anchor business cases. You have a strong ability to work closely- and build strong relationships- with senior leaders as well as to influence and challenge in a constructive and professional way, always with a positive twist.
You have analytical and problem solving skills and you deliver results through involving and engaging people, who may be in remote locations, and you adapt your leadership approach to specific situations and individuals.
To succeed in this role you have a sound understanding of the Forest Industry sector including the timber market. Some years of work in the forestry and, or forest industry sector managing projects in a global environments across multiple industries and business segments is a strength.

This is a permanent position based in Älmhult, an inspirational working environment, based on creativity and innovation, which gives you the opportunity to work and interact with people from all around the world.
Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö, and an IKEA shuttle bus running back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
