IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Wood supply & Forestry team is working on securing continuous and long-term access to sustainably sourced wood at lowest costs with ensuring the IKEA sustainability requirements on wood are developed and met. We are a global team with location close to our main sourcing countries all around the world.
We are looking for a Wood Supply & Forestry Specialist to join us on our exciting journey!
Job Description
As Wood Supply & Forestry Specialist for this area you will be handling several varying tasks simultaneously. You will be responsible to lead the development of IKEA Forestry requirements and ways of working. You will coordinating collection of inputs from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
You will also ensuring alignment and IKEA compliance with traceability related legislations around the world. Advocating and presenting the final proposal for approval and developing a roll-out plan for implementation, including communication and training plan within the organization. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing a strong forestry compliance training program for new WS&F Specialists.As well as business teams, suppliers and other internal stakeholders according to the needs and handling other activities related to forestry compliance.
Having a passion for managing different projects, finding creative solutions, and having strong communication skills will be mandatory to succeed in this assignment.

Qualifications
We believe that you have a strong knowledge of forestry and wood supply chains. You have experience with implementation and verification of forestry related requirements at suppliers, working with IT systems related to forestry traceability.
We expect you to have a passion for forestry, as well as strong project management and communication skills. Ability to work with diverse personalities, cultures and situations. The ability to create confidence and build relations.
You also have:
Knowledge of FSC CoC and relations with EUTR compliance.
Good understanding of forest management, timber trade and wood processing.
Deep understanding of IKEA’s due diligence system on Forestry and practical experience in supporting implementation of those requirements at IKEA suppliers.
Forestry and/or wood industry and related degree (Forestry or Wood Technology) is required.
Experience in working with IKEA suppliers (auditing) is considered a strong asset.
