Overview
The Regional Manager WSS is responsible for the Workspace unit which combines IT Support and Facility Management related services. This individual will be responsible for implementing, delivering and maintaining WSS services throughout Northern Europe, developing and monitoring the required capabilities, capacities and roadmaps for the region. EU North Region is built up of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Danmark. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Finally UK and Ireland. The organization involves both line managers and individual contributors, in total around 60 people.
This individual is part of a global WSS leadership team based in different locations. ​
Workspace services (WSS) sits within the Global Operational Services (GOPS) & Global Business Services (GBS) organization. WSS is a Global unit consisting of around 300 professionals located in more than 60 offices and factories in 28 countries. Main competence are in IT 2nd line support, facility management and service management. For Essity offices all WSS services are provided depending of what is applicable. For Essity production units WSS provides primarily IT support.
Global Operational Services is a global unit delivering business value to Essity and our customers by driving group wide operational efficiencies through end-to-end services and solutions. Global Operational Services (GOPS) includes Sourcing, Supply Chain Development, Global Business Services, IT Strategy & Business Technology and IT Services.


The Global Business Services (GBS) is an important support organization to Essity and consists of different service units such as Workspace (IT support and Facility Management), HR Services, Finance Services, Master Data Services, Customer admin Services and Sourcing admin Services. The unit consisting of approx. 1100 employees around the globe.

The role will be located in GOT, Sweden preferably but Alleröd, DK or Manchester, UK could be considered.
Main Tasks
The regional manager WSS is responsible to implement, deliver and maintain WSS services within a region of WSS. The regional manager WSS is responsible for the operational plans for a group of WSS services and for developing and monitoring the required capabilities, capacities and roadmaps for the region.
Responsible for delivering all services agreed within the scope of workspace services, to all internal customers within a region
Manages multiple teams within the region. Responsible for building motivated and effective teams and individuals
Responsible to develop and implement regional master plans, including managing and prioritizing resources and timing in line with global roadmaps
Contributes – personally and by providing regional resources – to development of new and/or improved services, tools and processes. Mainly through participations in projects and initiatives led by the services development teams
Is accountable for customer satisfaction (people dimension), continuous efficiency improvements and regional cost budget. Needs to communicate effectively with customers and key stakeholders
Secure close cooperation with Global service desk and other IT & GBS departments where relevant
Develop, propose and maintain the asset/property management plan within the region, incl. long term footprint of the main office locations. Plans, controls and direct real estate activities such as identifying and acquiring/leasing land/buildings for the organization’s operations, office moves, refurbishments and physical security
Manage annual review of all services contracts and procurement relating to the workspace services
Regular follow-up & reporting of the asset & license situation in respect of the agreed guidelines within IT & GBS
Ensure that Workspace services are delivered in line with Essity´s Information Security standards and supports Information Security audits on functions and locations

Key Competencies
University degree
Experience in the area of IT Services Management and Facility Management
Proven people management/customer service skills;
Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and key senior stakeholders;
Experience or exposure to the management of a manufacturing facility is preferred, but not required;
Extensive experience of managing sizable and/or remote teams
Strategic agility and operational skills
Customer focused and service minded
Broad set of communication skills
Natural talent for networking and stakeholder management
Has a sense of urgency, good at managing resources and dares to make decisions
Has a strong drive to accomplish results
