ABB is currently looking for a Business Controller for the ZCPG unit in Sweden for mainly closing out legacy projects in the offshore wind connection business. In addition you will manage other smaller projects with in the ABB non core business area. You will also be the deputy manager for this unit. The team consist of about 10 people, both employees and consultants working within project management, engineering and finance. There is also a team of consultants working in claim management.
As the controller for this business you will have the full responsibility for the financials of the product group and for the financials of the local business lines in your area. You will be reporting to the local business line manager and to the global business line controller.
Your responsibilities
Close out legacy projects: serve as the key partner for LBL Manager in determining the strategy for closing out projects.
Develop financial and operational plan partnering with LBL Manager.
Evaluate financial implications of various decisions, if necessary build scenarios and recommend actions.
Monitor all financial aspects of the business and related costs, operational KPI’s, and provide insight and analysis to support operational decision-making, also closely monitor OCF, Operational EBITA.
Establish and oversee processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information, also to ensure high quality and compliance of financial data and business information in line with defined standards & financial closing schedules.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley [SOX], US GAAP and all ABB policies to stand in ine with Internal Controls and Compliance requirements.
Take the lead in sustaining the alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls and Assurance whereas ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
Keep proficient communication with internal stakeholders with timely, effective and efficient communication with relevant LBL/ BL/ Corporate Controllers, Accounting Center, and other internal customers such as Operations, ARIC, Taxes, Finance, Group, HR to deliver key messages, identify and discuss areas for improvement.

Your background
Master or Bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Finance or similar.
7-10 years of relevant work experience in business/sales controlling, project controlling and/or accounting, in a complex international organization.
Experience in reporting to high level management.
Knowledge of finance and control processes, USGAAP regulations.
Hands-on mentality and the ability to work proactively, independently and pragmatically, and experience with SAP.
Self-motivated, goal- and result-oriented mindset.
Fluency in English.
